Richard Alexander Cooke has always been a maker and mechanically inclined, making within the context of clothing began for him in the mid 2010’s as a form of personal expression spawning from a growing taste for subversion and search for individualism.

This journey has manifested in his eponymous label, founded in 2020, crafting mens garments from his Brooklyn based atelier. Each piece produced for the line is done so by Cooke and a small team with immense care and infused with loads of detail and reminders of the connection shared when enjoying hand made clothing.

The collection is designed by Cooke and takes inspiration from a variety of areas from music to geometry and nature, the real inspiration though is simply the world around us, ones journey through it, and the oneness is holds, making clothes that can exist within that frequency is our overall goal.

Sure the world is broken, but among the break is immense beauty.

We make the most beautiful, top quality, and contemporarily aware garments as an offering to you the wearer, an offering of canvas for you to live your life in and create your own art through the nature of wear, and our garments will only accentuate and become even more beautiful with time and wear.

Our current atelier/showroom is located historic Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York. Here we employ the most intense and extreme methods of garment creation. Utilizing natural materials exclusively and a blend of traditional hand sewing techniques as well as unique and experimental methods of construction and finishing we are crafting the most beautiful high quality garments, ones imbued with spirituality and guided by nature.

The nature of our work, influences, and general world outlook prohibits us from producing large quantities, instead our de-industrialized |||post-industrialized||| approach allows us to craft each individual garment in the way that builds layers of detail, texture, strength of finish and overall individual care that cannot and will not be found amongst our peers.

A connection to nature is integral in creation of the work and in the bearer of the work, there is no polish no plastic, nothing to fake through industrialized processes and glamorous marketing, there is only reality and truth.

The work that we produce mandates that both wearers and viewers cannot help but notice the extreme construction methods at play. Seam placement, seam finishes, garment washes, and tiny details of plenty are ever present in the work, guiding the eyes, and opening the mind of those fortunate enough to enjoy the work in person.
